Mouse/Keyboard problem. Orcs Must Die 2

I have just installed Orcs Must Die 2 with PlayOnLinux.

The game loads up, I see the title screen, but when I get to the first menu type page (Play, Setup, Exit, etc), I have no mouse. Furthermore none of the keys work on the keyboard work EXCEPT for the ENTER key. As the 'PLAY' option is highlighted on the menu, hitting ENTER takes me to the next page. The Select a character page. On that page I can only hit ESC to return to the Menu.

I am very new to PlayOnLinux and only started using Linux (Ubuntu 12.10) about a month ago so am not sure what to do.

I don't even know what diagnostic steps I can take at this point. Is there log or some other way to see if there are errors? Is there steps I can take to configure the mouse and keyboard to work in this game?

I have looked at the wine forums and tried the at least 3 different versions of wine with this game. The problem persists.

How might I go about fixing this?

I found a solution to this..

Turned out to be a problem with the game defaulting to use the joystick (of all things). Something like that.

To fix this I have run this command before running the game.

sudo chmod o-r /dev/input/js*

After that the game loads, keyboard and mouse are working, and orcs are dying.. The game runs great.
