Wanted to share this quickly, while you can still get this game cheap from GOG.com bundle ( http://www.gog.com/pick_5_pay_10 ). It's really a unique game, that will tug on your heartstrings!

Comments: Everything works fine, except reading the compressed files, that's why we uncompress them (see code in the script). Finished the game.

I'm about to submit this script, but since this script uses an algorythm to decrypt some of the game files, I was wondering if this is allowed on POL? I use the solution provided by winehq appdb, but could it be considered a "crack", since we decrypt encrypted game files?

What normally happens is that the game itself will decrypt this "on-the-fly" while you play the game. But this doesn't work in Wine. So, someone wrote a C program to decrypt the files manually. I am using a Python port of this program in the script.

It is the only way to play the game under Linux, but I want to make sure that we're not adding something to the repository which violates POL rules.

Any news on this petch? Or hard to add to repo with this hack included?

Doesn't matter to me either way, I just run it as "local script". Very fun game.
