Hey everybody!

I'm using Office 2010 in Ubuntu 12.04, with playonlinux 4.0.18 and wine 4.5.3.

My question is related with the numbering format that the cells of MS Excel have by default. For example "4.444,3" and "4,444.3". When I executed Office for the first time after I installed it, the first example was the default configuration, but I would like to have the second one. Sincerely, I have no clue where to modify it.

I checked the following registry inside the configuration of wine

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Control Panel\\International"

and I found the entries "sDecimal" and "sThousand". Changing them have no effects, but I guess those are the variables I should change. In Win XP the number format changes after you modify them. I tried rebooting the OS after modify them and nothing happened.

I would like to ask if someone knows if this particular configuration that I want is possible to do. Thanks!

I solved my problem. Everything I needed to do was to modify the "locale" environment variable of Ubuntu. The wine registry doesn't work and the numbering format is given by those variables.

Cheers!
