Hey
I just got my new laptop with nvidia optimus technology.
Just crap in my eyes, but not possible to deactivate, so I have to life with it.
I'm using Debian 6.0 on my Acer 5742G with Intel i5 and nvidia geforce 540GT.
After installing bumblebee my old Playonlinux told me not to have 3D Accelaration.
So I installed version 4.0.17 and the error is gone.
But im not sure how to use Playonlinux and bumblebee.
If I want to use the nvidia grafics card i have to put an "optirun" first.
e.g. optirun glxgears.
So I tried with optirun Playonlinux - it works but in console I got the error:

"murf@smurflaptop:~$ optirun playonlinux
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libdlfaker.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.
ERROR: ld.so: object 'librrfaker.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

My game (Fiestaonline) works perfect.
But because I'm not sure if I started correctly (to use the nvidia card) I tried to install 3 D Mark and wanted to install another wine version - but nothing in the list.
The two versions I downloaded with old Playonlinux version are usable while installing.
But installing a new one isn't possible.

I think all this are results of optimus (becaus I didn't have any problems on my older laptop).
So anyone got some experience with it?

Arf forgot a bit :)
Im using XFCE 4.6.2 on my Debian 6.0 squeeze.
Kernel version is (unsame -a):
Linux smurflaptop 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Sat Mar 31 04:00:05 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I've installed proprietary nvidia driver from backports in version 280.13.
But Synaptic tells me it's version 280.13 (really 275.36-1 bpo60+2).
In addition to that bumblebee version 3.0-4 is installed (as I think correctly - some testing with glxgear work perfectly and there is a different bpm with my Intel card and my nvidia crad).
If there is any information you need for helping me missing, pleasy let me know.
Thanks in advantage.
And btw thanks to "ryousuke", somehow I've seen your "how to post" a bit late.
Sorry for that!

Best regards
Smurf
