When i install an app, then try to configure it to use a different wine version it doesnt save the new wine version

and doesn't use it

the feature to switch wine versions doesnt seem to work at all...

but it also doesn't save it on the default config either

oh looks like it was erroring because a file was missing
playonlinux.cfg in the wineprefix/<prefix> directory

so i copied the one from the .PlayOnLinux directory, now it seems to be working

thats probably something that it should add on first run
