Games can't find CD after manual installation

I have successfully used POL to play Jurassic Park Operation Genesis with Ubuntu 32 bit 10.04 on a desktop. I am now trying the same thing with a notebook that is running 64 bit Ubuntu 11.04. The game installs but when I try to play it, I get an error that it can't find the CD. I have had this happen with other games that I have installed on this computer (e.g. Monopoly) that are not supported by POL so I'm quite sure its not the game but something in my configuration (of WINE?). It must be something fairly simple to configure things so the computer looks in the CD drive but I am a novice and I'm not clever enough to figure it out. If someone could please help me I would be very grateful. The version of POL I am using is 3.8.8-1.

Thank you very much for your time and for helping people use Linux for all their computer needs (or, in this case, wants).

This error occur because of the anti-piracy protection of your game. Wine cannot (and will probably never) handle thoses things. So to play your game, you will have to use a crack.

Because of the european laws, we cannot help you for this, you will have to find it yourself.

I do have the CD, so I'm not trying to pirate the software. Does that matter?
Thanks much.

I'm sorry but we cannot help you with this, you will have to find yourself the crack (it's usually a modified game exe or dll, to be placed in the game directory) and use it.
