Hello all. I've recently been trying to install The Sims 3 onto my Ubuntu 10.04 computer, using PlayOnLinux. I used the tutorial found here: http://maketecheasier.com/play-the-sims3-in-linux/2010/11/18 including switching TS3.exe out for a cracked version (I have a legal copy of the game, but every website tells me to use this crack). When I have a cracked TS3.exe in the Bin directory, it comes up with this error:

TheSims3Launcher.exe has encountered a serious problem and must close

When using the original TS3.exe, the launcher boots but ask for a disk. When I put in my Sims 3 game disk, it won't read it and crashes the launcher with the same error.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated. I've seen people post videos where they've played the sims 3 on Arch Linux and Ubuntu on youtube, so I know it's possible.
