For Word & Excel, there is an add-in 'Save as pdf' which you can download from the MS site. It's installer simply unpacks a file called EXP_PDF.DLL into the c:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Microsoft Shared\\OFFICE12 folder. Although you can't run the installer in POL, if you simply copy the EXP_PDF.DLL file to the ~\\.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/Office2007/drive_c/Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/OFFICE12 folder. the pdf option appears under Word's 'Save As' options and work fine.

Excellent. This is why its always nice to leave your posts up (you will notice a lot of forums where people delete their posts after they get answers). And people were saying that the search function didnt work. hahaha

It's now 2015, I can confirm that this problem still exists and that this is the correct solution.
I don't actually use POL, was just trying to install Office 2007 with Ubuntu, and had to use a wine prefix. Thanks for helping. :)

POL is just a GUI for Wine, and POL makes WINEPREFIX's (they are just called virtual drives), too.
