I am struggling to install PlayOnLinux on my machine.


Operating System: Opensuse 11.3
Destop: KDE
Installed Wine Version: 1.2-0.1.1


The PlayOnLinux that I have installed is

I'm not sure whether my issue is with the wxpython (as to whether I have the correct files installed)

wxPython-common-gtk2-unicode
wxPython2.8-devel-gtk2-unicode
wxPython-common-gtk2-unicode
python-wxGTK-examples

I have been unsuccessful in using the 1-click install option on your site.

This is what has led me to use the 11.1 package.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please use Actual POL version, 3.8.1, older version will NOT work with recent games. This version is aviable with pacman.

Hi,

I have now installed the latest version as follows

When running from the command line it says

PlayOnLinux v3.8.1

Then nothing else follows.
When I click on the link on KDE I see a flashing icon though the program doesn't load.

I'm still struggling for some reason. I did request that a build be made for playonlinux which has been done and I have installed. I have though still not found success.

Is there anything else that I can provide to assist in the diagnosis?

Can you try using the generic package please and see if it hang the same way ?

This still doesn't work.

when I type in playonlinux from the /home/Paul/Programs/playonlinux directory...
The text that follows is...
PlayOnLinux v3.8.1

Could it also be a factor that I'm running Nvidia drivers?
Otherwise I'm running out of ideas.

and I'm also running a 64 bit operating system.
