Hi,

I'd like to offer my help as a translator and proofreader. I've seen that several scripts have an impressive number of typos in their dialogs, so I'd like to fix those in French and English. While I'm at it I could also translate the #comments that are in French to English, to improve international usability. If I could just go ahead and take all scripts, proofread them and submit the fixed versions to someone, it would be nice. Or we could do it on Pastebin if you want to compare versions quickly to make sure I don't mess up with the code (not that I think it would happen, but since you don't know me).

I've also seen in the bug tracker that there are some pages on the website that currently aren't translated/translatable. I don't know how much I can help with that (I've done HTML and PHP but I'm not up to standards), but I'd be glad to give a hand, if only with the texts.

Feel free to get back to me in French or English.

Edit: I'm also going through the Arietis translations on Launchpad and I see that some English strings need a fix as well (a common example is that almost all French strings use "application" while the English ones use "game" – by the way it would be good to know which of the two is supposed to be the reference). Is there any way to edit them or does only the admin have that permission?

I could also proofread the news before posting.

I know that the script was currently really bad translated and the current system used in script is bad.
But currently we have other task to fix quickly, I'm not sure that's a good idea for you that translating/checking script.

Because we don't want to do a massive import (security) and so each script will be processed manually.

for bad string in template for POL, I know there is some mistakes, if you found one (or more) please report it to this bug http://bugs.playonlinux.com/en/issue-38.html , with the full string for help me to fix it quickly.

Let me know if that's not all right. I do have to warn you that I'll be very picky, even on typography, so there'll be a lot of strings to edit ;)

Understood. That's why I suggested using Pastebin, so you'll be able to see changes quickly, thus cutting on revision time. Just let me know when you guys are ready for us to move forward with this (do you have any rough ETA?). Oh, and feel free to e-mail me if you'd like news, announcements or the like proofread or even directly translated from French. I should always be able to do it on the same day, often within the hour.

For script, currently do nothing.
Some of script need to be rewritten fully because they are ugly.
In fact we have a diff system for what change between two revisions of a script. I hope we will speak about this quickly.

For bad string to pol, If you have already started continue, but please for the next string you found, please include the line + file (I know that launchpad write it).
eg: this https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/playonlinux/arietis/+pots/pol/fr/4/+translate
launchpad write "located in bahs/liveinstall:89" so if you can include this one it will be great =).

In fact if I have where the string is located (sometimes can be more than one time) and the correction it's enough for correcting.
