I'm trying to install Starcraft II. It's the first time i use PlayOnLinux and I have an original DVD.

The installation program asks me to put those lines into the terminal:

sudo umount /media/SC2-L100-D1
sudo mkdir - p /media/PlayOnLinux/
sudo mount -o ro,unhide,uid=1000 /media/PlayOnLinux/

Two first lines runs correctly, but the third one throws this error:
mount: no se puede encontrar /media/PlayOnLinux/ en /etc/fstab o /etc/mtab
in english:
mount: can not found /media/PlayOnLinux/ on /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

My fstab after running the two first lines in the terminal is:

I'm running PlayOnLinux 3.7.6 on Ubuntu 10.04.

Do we have to update the script ? How ?

You have to try again installation yes, click on Update button in the bottom of the the windows before search for SC2 script and all must be ok,

Tested today on 2 Ubuntu 10.04 x64, no problem detected, all ran fine. Remember you need 19Go of free space to install this game with POL (only 12Go after installation).

I have the same problem and update doesn't seem to work.
Tried it out several times, but I still get the same error.

Yea I'm also having this same exact same error I'll try cleaning up some space, but I'm pretty sure thats not the problem.

Impossible, Joruus error is fixed since yesterday, i've verified it a minute ago, error fixed, you simply cannot,have this error anymore...

Open POL using a terminal and copy/paste errors returned in this terminal when you have the SC2 install problem...

Before that be SURE you copy the right command when the script ask you too...With an ORIGINAL SC2 DVD it work without problem so...

Basically, the command you must type is :

sudo umount /media/SC2-L100-D1 ; sudo mkdir -p /media/PlayOnLinux ; sudo mount -o ro,unhide,uid=1000 /dev/cdrom /media/PlayOnLinux/

But uid and devnode can change, this is why the script autodetect those values.

It seems I just had a problem with updating playonlinux. I fixed that, now it's working. Thank you so much.

Ouais en fait j'ai testé avec mon portable de bureautique en mode que linux :
Dell inspiron 1750
Proc : intel core 2 duo 1,8 GHz
RAM : 3 Go
CG : Un truc genre d'intel aussi avec 128 Mo de mémoire vidéo

Donc a peu près la config de base demandée par blizzard...
J'ai mis les paramètres graphiques au plus bas (y compris la résolution, et d'ailleurs ça fait mal de passer à du 1024x768 quand la résolution native est du 1600x900 :D )
Les menus marchent bien et tout seulement lorsqu'on essaye de lancer une partie, après les 5 bonnes minutes de chargement seuls s'affichent la minimap, et les infos périphériques genre les menus, les objectifs de mission...
Et une fenêtre indique qu'il faut fermer les autres applications pour de meilleures performances.
Tout ça pour dire que la config minimale ne permet pas de faire tourner sc2 sur linux, preuve que les performances sont amoindries :(.

Après, est-ce qu'il n'existe pas des moyens de configurer le jeu qui permette d'améliorer les performances ?
J'avais vu ça avec wow, régler opengl dans des paramètres spécifiques de config (ou dans le registre je sais plus trop :p ) permettait d'améliorer grandement les performances...

Merci beaucoup pour le script qui va ravir tout ceux qui ont une config minimale pour la faire tourner, moi jvais devoir me passer de mon portable et jouer sur mon fixe avec windows :( , je suis heureux de voir les efforts qui sont faits pour porter les jeux sous linux :).
J'espère que le suivant sur ta liste sera Populous 3 : the beginning jeu génial que je n'ai jamais pu faire tourner sous linux même avec virtualbox :cry: . En plus ça reste dans les str ;-)
