Hi,
today I installed PoN using the online repository.
I installed C&C3 -Kanes revenge and/or Tiberium wars.
No matter what on restarting PoL I get an error message saying:
xpm malformed colour definition at line 2
If I start PoL using the console I can see:
(python:28941): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text()
Same message appears if I click on "using advanced configurator plugin".
After the message appeared the first time I can not start C&C 3 and on doing a restart of PoL it crashes:

The program 'python' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.

I'm running:
- Linux 2.6.28-15-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP Tue Aug 18 19:25:34 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
- NVidia GeForce 8600GT, 512 MB RAM, PCI-Express 16x
- NVidia Driver Linux-x86_64 v 180.44
- gnome desktop (tried with and without desktop effects)
set to de_DE.UTF-8
Any hint on my issue?
