First, the background information.

Distrobution
Ubuntu 8.1

Wine Version
1.1.14

Desktop Environment
Gnome

And now the problem... I have attempted to install and run Diablo II, it's expansion and the 1.11b update. I am able to install and run the original game, as well as the expansion, however once I install the update the game no longer runs. I attempted to run the game through the console to see what was going on and here is the output it gives.

I attempted to run the whole system from the console and am greeted with the following output when I attempt to run the game.

Running DiabloII

I'm confused as to what's happening here. Has anyone else had this issue? And if so how would I go about fixing it?

Update!

After having installed the 1.12 patch everything works fine. Seems there may be something a miss with the 1.11 update using the script installed by default.
