Errors in the software:
Well, I got Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne installed via PlayOnLinux.
When I try to launch it by the playonlinux window, it gets a lot of texture issues when playing, by the way, if I go manually to the folder /home/user/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/WarcraftIII/drive_c/Program Files/Warcraft III and double-click the Frozen Throne.exe it runs perfectly!
(When I come to the folder ~/.PlayOnLinux/WineVersions/ there's a folder named 0.9.58, but when I go to the Applications Menu, and chose Wine -> Configure Wine -> About, it says that the version is 1.1.13)
If you can help me guys, I would like to run the Frozen Throne without Issues from the PlayOnLinux window or from the desktop.
thx

well guys, I solved my own problem. hahaha
I deleted the PoL shortcut and I didn't know how to launch it, anyway, I put the wine launcher at the desktop, and configured it to run on OpenGL mode.
Btw, if someone got the same issue, that's what I did.
Go to Applications -> Wine -> Programs -> Warcraft III -> Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne, right click it, and then select "Add This Launcher To Desktop".
When the icon is at desktop, right click on it and click on "Properties" and then on the Command field, put -opengl at the end.
it should be like that:
env WINEPREFIX="/home/user/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/WarcraftIII" wine "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Frozen Throne.exe" -opengl

Hello iloveassasin,
(When I come to the folder ~/.PlayOnLinux/WineVersions/ there's a folder named 0.9.58, but when I go to the Applications Menu, and chose Wine -> Configure Wine -> About, it says that the version is 1.1.13)
This is normal, when installing Warcraft III, PlayOnLinux installs and uses a different version of Wine (the version 0.9.58 here) than your system's one for this game. We set it like that because it was the best version for Warcraft III when we wrote the script. I suppose we should update this.
well guys, I solved my own problem. hahaha
Well, that's cool for you
But I just want to make it clear that your solution is nothing else than using your system version of Wine (1.1.13) instead of the one set by the installer (0.9.58). And it can be done simplerly by using Tools > Manage Wine versions in POL
Bye
P.S: And please remember to mark the topic as solved next time.

Not sure if theres any way to start like a Gui with Play on linux, but iam assuming that i would first need to get wow to work under wine.I do have POL installed but i am not sure how to get it going either. Heres my lack of sucess with wine, and i was wondering if i might have some better luck getting wow to work with PoL
what wow looks like on the log on screen,
And when i am at that screen every thing moves really slow, like you can see in the screen shot that my pointer in the game is towards the middle of the screen while the pointer in Ubuntu is at the top going to be clicking the X.
I have gone through the troubleshooting guide at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WorldofWarcraft

You're in the wrong topic robert98374, iloveassasin was talking about his problem with Warcraft III and not World of Warcraft.
