I have xubuntu 8.10 and I have successfully installed the latest version of play on linux
The sole purpose of my linux machine is to play starcraft

I am able to run the installer for starcraft but when I try to run the game the computer screen goes black. There is no sound and no error message, I can press esc and it will exit out of the black screen.

Can anyone tell me what is going on and how i can fix this?
