Hi there!

Has anyone of you got Runes of Magic running under wine? I can get to the login window, but i am stuck at obtaining serverlist. If anyone did it, please provide information

For those who dont know RoM:

Runes of Magic is a free MMORPG, but imho got a lot of potential, its not like those asia grinders

hm...U can get to the login window? U r a lucky guy ^^(I assume u can read the EULA and accept it, wich I couldn't because of massive Shader errors :@ ... related to my GF6600GT )

>download Winsock.dll and put it into the system and system32 directory and select Override from within the winecfg/libary modul. Overrirde with native(builtin)... and the connection should work;-)

I used this walkthrough and it worked just fine. http://timashley.me/node/265 Didn't have to do the registry change though, might want to wait on that to see if you need it or not. Happy gaming! ;-) (BTW, this isn't my blog, but the one I found on the RoM site, so if it doesn't work I can try to help, but still a bit noobish to linux myself)
