Manually installing application...but never does

The processing wheel just keeps turning and turning and turning

Hi.

I'm trying to manually install software using PlayonMac on my Macbook Apple M1 -- macOS Ventura 13.3.1.

I used PlayonMac -- and was able to manually install the same software -- on my old Macbook Air, which just died (mid-2012 -- didn't have a very recent macOS, but I'm not sure which one it was).

Here's the issue:

1. I followed the instructions (which worked on my old Macbook) to manually install a non-listed program on a virtual drive with 64-bits windows installation. PlayonMac said it was creating the virtual drive but never gave me an option for "Next." I finally cancelled the process and started again with a manual installation. Same thing happened 3 times. When I later checked "Edit or update an existing" application (and "show virtual drives") -- just to see what was there -- the 3 virtual drives were listed. Huh!

2. I selected one of the virtual drives, chose 64 bits window installation, browsed for the installation file and started installation. It says "PlayOnMac" is installing your application and shows the little processing wheel...and (like in #1 above), this just goes on and on, but the software never installs. I've let it run for 15-20 minutes a few times, and the same thing keeps happening.

Anyone else had this issue?

Potential fixes?

Let's keep in mind that PlayOnMac just fine on my older Macbook! The software is also valid and worked on the previous Macbook.

Thanks!
