Audio skipping and slowdown when running Famitracker

Is there a setting or something to fix this?

Hi, I recently picked up PlayOnMac and have been ever so grateful for its existence. However, I booted up 2 different versions of Famitracker (specifically, NSFImport 0.5.0  and 0CC-Famitracker 0.3.15.3) and they both had the same problem: they suffered from somewhat intense slowdown, both in scrolling the music, and in the sound itself, with it stuttering. At the bottom of the window, it says "Audio buffer underrun, increase audio buffer size or decrease CPU utilization.", and when I open the built in performance meter on NSFImport specifically it lists the CPU usage as over 100%, which doesn't seem right. I've seen a few people have similar issues with Skyrim on PlayOnLinux that is solved by modifying a setting or something. I'm not that into command line stuff, so I want to know: is there anything I can do to make it work better?

macOS Version: Big Sur 11.6.6

PlayOnMac Version: 4.3.3
