LOTR online launcher silently crashing
Crashing via Steam ultimately via PlayOnMac

Hello! I have downloaded Steam via PlayOnMac in order to run Lord of the Rings online, however, it appears that I am missing certain files from the virtual drive that is running the game. There are a couple of things to note: When I open the game via Steam (ultimately all via PlayOnMac), the launcher itself initializes. During this initialization, it appears to halt on the following installation:
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)"
It then opens up 6 links in quick succession on my web brower, one being: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26999 and the others being all the same link (that being https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0). Once these links are opened, the launcher appears to be in a normal state (I can select a world to join, check if the world is aviable, transfer to a new world, etc). However, when I attempt to join any of these worlds, the launcher hangs on "Initializing..." indefinitely.
It appears that I am missing some files. The files I am missing seems to match this tutorial on the LOTR forum: https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?658230-INSTALL-New-LotRO-Installs-One-Guide-to-Rule-Them-All
I would normally attempt to follow the tutorial, except it is given in the context of a Windows 10 virtual machine and I am unsure how to proceed.
Located below is some more intense details/information:

Any help would be appreciated, I've been trying to run LOTR online on my Mac but it is a 32-bit game. It would be great to get it running, but I'm not sure if that is even possible. Thank you! Edité par jackbuildmegood |
