Hey everyone,

I am trying to install Lightroom5 on Ubuntu 18.04. I am using a set-up file to do the installation. I think I am almost close to the end but I keep getting this error towards the later part of the installation.

Error in POL_Shortcut
Binary not found: lightroom.exe
Have you installed the program to the default location?

I am using Wine 3.20, but when I run the installation, it seems to install 2.22 as a default and I am not sure if that might be a part of the problem and I am not sure how to proceed from here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you check if PlayOnLinux created a Virtual Drive?

  1. Click configure
  2. Left Column
  3. Do you see a Lightroom entry?

If there is in fact a Lightroom Virtual Drive, then you can select it and then click the General Tab.  Then click the + to download newer versions of Wine like:  5.0

Once is done downloading go ahead and grab the 64-bit version as well.

Now on the same General Tab, change Wine version to 5.0

Click the Miscellaneous Tab

Click "Run a .exe in this virtual drive"

Navigate to your setup.exe and start the installation.  when its done you can go back to the General Tab and click "Create a shortcut from this virtual drive"

It should scan the virtual drive an find the Lightroom.exe, if not, you can click "browse" and find it.

Follow the shortcut steps and now you can launch Lightroom in PlayOnLinux.
