I was beyond thrilled to run across a way to play Star Wars the Old Republic on my mac by utilizing PlayOnMac. I found a great reddit post that walked me throug the process step-by-step. However I ran into a problem where the internal HDD does not have enough storage space. Is there a way for me to either install PlayOnMac or the virtual drive onto and external HDD?

Thanks for the link. I sort of forgot that at the end of the day the MacOS is largely UNIX. Unfortunately, I'm not super comfortable in Terminal so I'm hoping you might be able to get me a little more direction.

Current location of virtual drive: Macintosh HD⁩ ▸ ⁨Users⁩ ▸ ⁨MacBookPro⁩ ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨PlayOnMac⁩ ▸ ⁨wineprefix⁩⁩ ▸ ⁨SWTOR

Where I want the virtual drive to go: WINDOWS⁩⁩ ▸ ⁨SWTOR

The link you sent me says to use the below command:

$ cp -av ~/.PlayOnLinux /mnt/extradisk/mysecondhome/

I tried typing $ cp -av ~/PlayOnMac /WINDOWS/SWTOR but I am getting an error that says -bash: $: command not found

I looked at the user guide of 'cp' for OSX (I have no experience with), this seems not a issue related to the command.

Perhaps it's because you have not mount yet the 'WINDOWS' disk (On Linux, once mounted it can appear into '/mnt' or into '/mount' or into '/media').
