Hi, how are you?, I have the following error executing Proteus VSM 8.6 in PlayOnLinux:

 

Internal exception: access violation in module 'VGDVC.DLL' [000382ee] 

 

I.ve found a way to solve that problem through Wine in this blog: https://0and6.wordpress.com/2018/04/09/solucionar-error-vgdcv-dll-proteus-en-linux/

 

but when I apply the method directly on wine the folder for Labcenter (Proteus) doesn't appear, how can I do that in PlayOnLinux?

I've just saw the following tutorial but after I did the procedure described there now playonlinux says it doesn't find the program

Do you mean once installed ?
What are the .EXE filenames of Proteus once installed ?

Yes, after installing wine 4.0 and nomo packages for playonlinux I proceed to install proteus 8.6 SP2 then asks to install Visual C++ 2008 whose installs without problem but the problems comes after that.

 

Following the installation of Visual C++ 2008 it says is installing Proteus, the instalation wizard of proteus finishes by saying the program was installed but it isn't listed in the playonlinux menu. I've followed the path through the folder where proteus is in /wineprefix/proteus 8.6 and the necessary files are there but I can only execute the program if I choose to execute PDS.exe with playonlinux by pressing right button of the mouse and choosing explicitly that option, then plaonlinux opens and execute the program without listing it in its window

Finally I select a sample to open it and check if the program works well but just after open the circuit proteus closes without any message and I can't use proteus.

Apparently solved, I went to the virtual machine, then I pressed to the button repair virtual machine, then I've use the following toturial (the one I've posted first):

and the last step was to create a direct access to PDS.exe. Now Proteus 8.6 runs and plays the simulations.
