I can't see anything super obvious but I am not familiar with this program and what is considered normal behavior. I tried several things and here is what I have.

I can't find any other errors about connection issues other than the one I already posted. 

It keeps complaining about fonts after just about everything I do. 

Wine cannot find the FreeType font library.  To enable Wine to

use TrueType fonts please install a version of FreeType greater than

or equal to 2.0.5.

It seems to freeze on "Please wait while the virtual drive is being created" when I try to "install a non-listed program". My terminal output for that can be seen here. I left it for about 5 minutes and it was still stuck there. 

I tried installing Notepad++ from the POM installers and it never succeeded. It created the virtual drive but could not install the program. If I chose download installer the download would always fail with no terminal output to go with it. I provided my own installer and it said it was installing but it would never finish. Here is my output for that. 

After this testing I noticed I have Wine version 5.0.1 under x86 wine versions and that was not there before. It has a yellow exclamation point next to it if that is important. Picture here

Having the same issue as erush18. When I try to install Steam it ends up getting stuck in a loading loop with "Please wait while Steam is installed".

I'm new to the forum and new to playformac.

 

Tried it as well, seems iike it is working. Installed VLC player for Windows.

I did have some issues with Bitdefender, but managed.

 

Is there anything I could test? A specific application which might cause issues?

Tried installing Notepad Plus Plus from the library (POM downloader?).

Download issue (after installing MS fonts):

Error in POL_Download
Unable to download https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/releases/download/v7.8.3/npp.7.8.3.Installer.exe after 5 attempts

When downloaded manually, installation and running was successful.
Of course, apart from the issues relating to Bitdefender and Certification. 

Issue seems to be in the POM downloader.

nikNL, I've checked the Notepad++ script, and the download link does work.

Please open new questions if not related the subject of this one.

So i used the POM 4 Catalina and tried to install SWTOR, but received this message :

Error in POL_Download_Resource
error during download! (3 attempt)

I guess it's the same problem nikNL is having with Notepad++ 

 

I'm afraid SWOTOR won't work (it requires a patched version of wine AFAIK)

Anyway, your error is not related, so I'm interested if you can provide logs

Before Catalina you could use swtor_fix.exe to make it work but ist doesnt work with Catalina. If you want to know if it get fixed look on reddit. Therer are many post going about this and many people trying to fix the issue right now so hopefully you can play the game again in some Weeks. To install the game on mac there is a guide on Reddit that helps you with that. But it needs you to change the wine Version, wich doesent work on POM 4 Catalina at the moment.

I still cant change my wine version. Does anyone know how I can get around the issue?

 

So, when I upgraded to Catalina, all I'm getting is my mac security saying that it can't verify if its free of malware.  I removed POM and reinstalled it, just to get that error.  Not sure if anything new is in the works, thanks guys. :)

Is the new program in the zip called "Phoenicis PlayOnMac"? Just want to make sure I downloaded the correct program. 

If it is, I get stuck when installing Steam saying "Looking for Wine Versions"

Same Issues here. PlayOnMac won't get past security settings even when selecting 'open anyway'

Everything works just fine except of MIDI input.

It worked in 10.14.

It detects MIDI device, but does not detect input from it.

I'm still having the connection issue on the wine versions window, POM 4.4.1 on OS 10.15.6

How about lotro, will it ever be supported again? The launcher worked and installed lotro but the game itself crashes. I didn't find any solutions.
