No matter what I want to install, the installer get stuck on "Please wait while the virutal drive is being created." - when I look at the log files, the last line is always

 Is there any way I can debug that further? Is that a known bug that I was just too dumb to google?

What happens if you run “wine” inside PlayOnMac console?

That seems to work okay:

I am having a very similar issue as lostfocus, on MacOS Mojave as well. I tried to install PlayOnMac for the first time today, but it gets stuck at 'Please wait while the virtual drive is being created'. I tried to bypass the issue by cancelling it and restarting: it then gets through the virtual drive creation (although when I try to name it, it tells me that the drive already exists under that name), but gets stuck at app installation.

The Wine version is the correct one as far as I know, but I am not sure it installed correctly because when I try to look at the Wine configuration, none of the icons open (only the same stuck window opens).

I am not sure what you mean by 'wine dependencies' that we should be installing.

Sorry, did not notice you were all on macOS.

What is your macOS version please?

The problem should be fixed. Please try to download POM once again and reinstall your wine version from the wine version manager

It does seem to have worked for me, although I did have to reinstall the wine version manually as you suggested.

Wine 3.11 has not been rebuilt yet: https://www.playonlinux.com/wine/

Once it is rebuilt, reinstall it from the wine version manager and it should work
