I get the following error when I try to run a game in debug mode: "0009:err:mscoree:CLRRuntimeInfo_GetRuntimeHost Wine Mono is not installed"
Searching around, it seems that WINE Mono is supposed to get installed automatically when I create the virtual drive, but that was not the case here. I did not refuse the prompt to do so, there was no prompt, and I've deleted and recreated this virtual drive a couple of times now.
I also tried installing the mono210, etc, components in configuration, that didn't make any difference. And I installed mono-complete ("sudo apt-get install mono-complete"), based on a suggestion in another forum, that also didn't make any difference.
I'd appreciate any suggestions that anyone can offer here.

What version of wine are you using?

3.0 and, I assume, 64 bit (it doesn't say and I don't remember for certain, but I think it was 64 bit).

Can you try to create a whole new prefix with several up-to-date wine versions and confirm that neither Mono / Gecko are installed?

Okay. I appologize for the delay, but just to follow up: I figured out what was going on. The game I was trying to play doesn't have an installer, just a bunch of files in a directory, so when I was creating the virtual drive by going through the "Install a non-listed program" interface WINE would crash when it asked me for the file to install.
I hadn't thoght that this was notable, but apparently it was preventing the Mono / Gecko installation. When I make a new virtual drive by going through Configure -> New, everything works fine. (Well I still can't get the game to run, but for a different reason now.)
So: problem solved. Thanks for the help.
