I just got an unexpected pop-up this morning after launching PlayOnLinux 4.2.12

Apparently there is an update:  4.3.2

Does anyone know what updated or changed?

It's just some fixe for POM and an update to use the new wine build system (the one we put in place for v5).

Great!  I can't wait to see it in action.  I noticed that wine-staging versions no longer updated in the Wine Manager.

I've also read that most of the "staging" features have been rolled into Wine versions

booman, I just saw your guides, wow man you are friggin hero!

I was having issues with Oblivion (original retail CDs), Skyrim (dialog audio problems), and AVP2010 (sound lag and echo) and I uninstalled 4.2.12 then installed 4.3.2 like this:

1. purged wine and and did an auto clean
2. installed wine via the terminal
3. installed xterm
4. installed 4.3.2 via .deb file provided in download tab here

This gave me a fresh start and the games from steam (Skyrim and AVP2010) are working flawless!

I followed boomans Oblivion guide and instead of 32 bit I chose 64 and installed with Wine 3.10 staging. It runs fullscreen and better than in Windows on my i5 machine with the Nvidia GTX1050 (Im using i3 with AMD RX 560), even while capturing with OBS studio and capturing my webcam at the same recording!

Im working on a few others and im sorry I may have posted this in the wrong spot Im still learning this site, I will create some Testing posts I guess after I go over your guidelines again..

I dont know what 4.3.2 did but Im loving it! As soon as I get some extra funds Im so going to support POL with something (currently unemployed father of 2 here in Ghetto, CA - looking for a job constantly)

If I can get a few more games running I will seriously sell my Windows computer and make some money!!!

Is PlayOnLinux 4 going have a similar problem due to the update?

Yes, just download and run the installer from here:  https://www.playonlinux.com/en/download.html

The installer will not remove your game or wineprefixes.  It only updates the application it-self.

Quentin PARIS - Looks like Wine is downloading properly now.  It was so strange, initially I had to wait 10 - 15 minutes, but now its the standard speedn  Not really sure what happened?
