I have installed Playonlinux and setup a virtual drive called WinXP. (I am running the latest version of Manjaro.) When I go to the configure menu - select the Wine tab - and click on the "Configure Wine" button, a small vertical line appears in the upper left corner of the screen and a "Wine Configuration" tab appears in my Manjaro menu bar.

I cannot open (or un-minimize) the configuration window. I am running wine 3.3-1 under Manjaro. I know that Wine has released version 3.4, but I have set pacman not to update wine.

Any suggetions on what's going on?

P.S. I made some screenshots, but I'm not sure how to upload the pictures from my computer.

What version did you use ? some old version come with bad library within (.so)

Try to remove libfreetype and libz lib from the wine directory (in $POL). So you will be using your system library (but that can make that wine version not working if the latest library version aren't compatible with really old one).

I'm using Playonlinux version 4.2.12-1. I removed libz files with:

rm -f ~/.PlayOnLinux/wine/linux*/*/lib*/libz*

Still having the same problem. What's the next step I need to take?

LATER: I think the problem only relates to 64-bit versions of wine. I had the problem with 64-bit versions of 1.6.2, 1.8.6, 3.0 and 3.3.

I've now installed a 32-bit version of wine 3.0, and do not have the problem. I do have a 64-bit version of wine 3.3, installed by pacman in Manjaro.

POL come with his own wine package. The one installed by pacman is the POL's system version
