Hello,

I have a problem with the installation of Neverwinter online...

What happens is that I get a "please wait while Neverwinter Online is installed" and the game's login screen pops up. No matter how much I wait the installation doesn't finish.

If I close the game's screen the installation breaks and I get:

"Error in POL_Shortcut
Binary not found: Neverwinter.exe
Have you installed the program to the default location?"

Same issue here. It seems everything is installed in tmp folder instead of prefix. After installation tmp folder is empted, and we are done for...

No idea what to do with it. But right now i will try to copy everything before closing the client. But before that, another 11Gb to download. :/

So....

Creating Cryptic Studio folder in prefix (in drive_c/ProgramFiles(x86)), then copying whole installation from tmp into that folder worked, but it required redowanload of all files for some reason. 

Then, after pc restart... it requires download all over again.

This is all i can figure out with my very limited knownledge.

Just noting that this is still an issue.

I have a workaround, but it is a terrible one.

I went ahead and downloaded the installer after all the failures, and put it in the wineprefix, NWO, drive c, and then simply ran that from POL.

It successfully downloads the patch (12GB at the time of writing) and runs quite well, but the patch is deleted the moment you quit the game, and nothing I have been able to do yet saves that data...  That's right, every time I want to play, I have to use up 12GB of data.  Not great.

What's up with that?

I see that your launcher try to auto-update himself and may need to restart after. But because wine can't handle program that want to relaunch themself, the program never start again. That may why you don't have the .exe
