Hello!

I get the following error every time I try to install Office 2007 via Playonlinux v4.2.10 on my debian 9 stable system:

Error in POL_Wine
Wine seems to have crashed
If your program is running, just ignore this message

This message appeared after Playonlinux completed downloading some stuff (including wine) in the first install attempt. In the next install attempts this message appears almost in the beginning of the install. Install script has never asked me the location of my Office 2007 CD.

I checked the "wine versions manager" in Playonlinux. Wine v1.6.2. is installed (appears in the x86 tab). It seems there isn't any amd64 version is installed. However in Synaptic I can see that wine and wine64 packages are installed to my system (version 1.8.7-2)

I hope you can guide me to solve this problem.

Thank you!

I have solved this problem by installing wine as per the debian wiki: https://wiki.debian.org/Wine

I enabled i386 first than followed the part with the heading "Install wine on a 64-bit architecture (with i386 as foreign 32-bit architecture)".
