Hello,

I have been attempting to get my ps3 controller to work on steam through POL. I have used xboxdrv and xboxcemu dlls to accomplish to no effect whatsoever. I searched online and found steam has essentially the same functionality as this complicated setup through big picture mode and configuring the controllers. Except the only problem is Big Picture Mode does not work! I found the problem is the dwrite.dll. It is essentially disabled to render text in steam but its needed to use BPM. When enabled there is no text and I get a fatal error anyway. Is there anyway to get Big Picture Mode working on POL or Wine? Its very frustrating steam requires you to activate this clunky interface to change some controller settings.

I spent x hours to try to get my controller (xbox360) to work. The xboxcemu-dlls did not work anymore, 'cause there was a change with the input-dlls since wine-version 1.9.x.

If you want to go through steam with your controller, install native steam, setup your controller there. The settings are the same as in wine-steam. So this worked for me.

But easiest way at the moment is using qjoypad. This can be easy configured and works always.

It's planned to implement the controller in wine. i guess this is in progress.
