Ever since latest Steam update and wine-stagging 2.12 fix I can not join any multiplayer games online.  Anyone else have this problem or more importantly know a fix?  Thanks

I am experiencing the same. Don't know you, but in the Steam app I'm also unable to access the Steam Community either.

This has been fixed by 2.13 release! I submitted an update, but if you just switch to 2.13 on the current steam application in playonmac, it should work. I tried it already!!!

Where can one download PlayonMac 2.13? Or how do you switch to 2.13 on steam application?

There is a solution. On playonmac, select the configure option for steam and change the wine version to 2.13. The mutiplayer will work. 

 

For anyone else, does changing to 2.13 still not resolve the issue??? Because I still cannot connect online/multiplayer on steam.... although I can see my friends online, but not the store, community or my profile.

Maybe then there is something specifically blocking the connection to steam server, but not the function that connects you with online friends (must be different pathing)...

Same issue here, wine 2.16 and missing steamwebhelper messages spamming the log file
