I have an AKAI APC Key25 that included a lite version license for Ableton 9 Live, and while I'm already exploring its functionality and compatibility with the various apps available through Studio, Ableton is a pretty nice suite and I'd like to be able to use it without having to hog my girlfriend's laptop (I basically paid for the license too, no reason not to use something I bought.)
I originally attempted it with the 64-bit version, managed to get it to install, but the VC Runtime .dlls were just refusing to acknowledge as present after installing the components. This morning I tried using the 32-bit version (because I learned during all the fumbling around that that's native for WINE) and the install went beautifully.
I didn't try to lanch it right away. I ran the debug and Ableton launches fine then throws up a "serious problem and needs to close." The show details window stalls out at "Loading detailed information, please wait..."
