Hello playonlinuxforumz, I am wondering if I could get some help with an installer I need to run as administrator. I am trying to get BitX for my linux mint computer. I know I cannot run "Sudo playonlinux" or "Sudo wine". That's about it. I am on a PC originating on windows 8.1, then converted to Linux Mint 17.3 'Rosa' MATE-64 bit. Any help would be helpful. Any information in my power to apprehend I can provide. Please respond simply. Thanks to anyone with any shred of knowledge on the subject.

Can you give us some more detail on exactly what you are trying to do?  Because I have never used sudo to run PlayOnLinux/Wine or to install games with PlayOnLinux/Wine

Are you installing a game?

I am trying to install BitX, a torrent streaming application that only runs as an EXE. It requires me to run it as administrator to acess it. It is not a game.

Oh, I have no idea how to install BitX or run as administrator.  Unfortunately the Windows 7 setting only has limited control.  It basically comes with all the directories, libraries and basic core functionality.  There is no Windows 7 Graphical User Interface to select "Run As Administrator"
