Installer can't find file of same dir

Stargreeter	I just tried to install a game, which is not in the database. the installer worked. the game has been a goody in a computer magazin in 2009. the dvd magazin part isn't working, but i don't care about. the game itself is in a subdir. In manual installation i browsed the dvd and chose the installer and it began to work, but stopped then with the message, that he couldn't find a "*.dat"-file, which actually IS there in the very same directory. i think, this is a linux-storage-managing-related problem ? in which way i get the installer to look into the right path ? I am an old veteran gamer from times of C=64 on - used to ms-dos and basic - but i prefer linux ubuntu trusty tahr and dislike windy win-doh!-s and nasty nsa and webwielding whackers and spying spiders - face me in a dungeon and i'll show you (you mobs)!

Stargreeter	The game is "Project: Snowblind", a very simple fps from eidos. I am an old veteran gamer from times of C=64 on - used to ms-dos and basic - but i prefer linux ubuntu trusty tahr and dislike windy win-doh!-s and nasty nsa and webwielding whackers and spying spiders - face me in a dungeon and i'll show you (you mobs)!
