Diablo 3 freezing up

I managed to get everything installed and running ok through the battle net client.  D3 runs great when it's running, but every session after about 30-40m it completely locks up the system to where I have to use rseinub to reboot.  The audio gets really low & garbled, and the screen just freezes completely.  I have tried both the open source & propietary drivers.  Any ideas?

Video is just onboard.  Fans and such not running hard, and everything is cool to the touch.  Not even warm.  It only happens on D3.
