Hello all,

I am posting after considerable efforts to install libcurl3 and get playonlinux working.  From the last advice I read on a forum here I tried: sudo apt-get install curl p7zip-full p7zip-rar

The error message i'm getting is :

Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/c/curl/libcurl3_7.29.0-1ubuntu3.4_amd64.deb 404  Not Found [IP: 91.189.92.201 80]
Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/c/curl/curl_7.29.0-1ubuntu3.4_amd64.deb 404  Not Found [IP: 91.189.92.201 80]
I've apt-get updated many times, and uninstalled and reinstalled playonlinux.  I'm on ubuntu studio 13.04.

Pardon the weird formatting here, I don't know why it's happening.  I can't fix this in the software center or with synaptic.  I always seem to get stuck on installing libcurl3.  Where should I begin?

sudo apt-get update?

If packages cannot be found where they are listed, that's probably that the lists are out of date...

 

The Ubuntu Studio repos are outdated. You are much better off running some *buntu flavour and installing the kxstudio repos, if you are looking for something to replace Ubuntu Studio. That is for sure the problem, though.
