Hello community,

So I finally managed to install Torchlight 2 successfully. The game is patched to current version. But when I click the "Play" button on the launcher, it starts to load the game (there is the image with the status bar at the bottom showing what is being loaded). After that, the game starts  but it hangs on a black screen for about 15 seconds and then it crashes ("Curses! Torchlight II has crashed!"). And then nothing else happens. I have to force quit the game.

 

Wine version: 1.7.30, 32 bits.

Ubuntu 14.10

NVidia GT 750M (using proprietary drivers)

Do you have the 32-bit libraries installed in Linux?

Those are pretty important to play most games.  Look up packages in your distro for:

• ia32-libs
• multi-arch

Your distro should be able to provide one of those.  If not, when you launch Torchlight II, click "debug" instead of "Run"

Then the output might tell you which libraries are missing.  Then you can download them for your distro.
