[03/28/14 12:14:05] - Running wine-1.5.28-GuildWars2 Gw2.exe (Working directory : /home/tyler/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/GuildWars2/drive_c/users/tyler/Temp)
Is the last output and It was on 1.5.28 just further along in the list. I'm thinking that maybe my problem is coming from a dual boot of windows?

Strange because at the top it says wine-1.7.15 Not sure what that is all about... Anyways, did you try fixing the p11-kit error? I doubt the dual boot has anything to do with it. when I started using Mint 13 I dual booted with Windows 7 and it worked great. At least until I accidentally deleted the Linux partition in Windows. Tip: don't delete partitions in Windows that have no label

LOL. Yeah I did do the p11-kit error fix. Doesn't exist anymore apparently so I would assume it's fixed. Weird thing is now that the game won't even start...

Dang, so no improvement... That is a funky graphical gliche I did some research on Intel HD 3000 and Guild Wars 2. It appears to run in Windows with 32fps or lower. I"m actually surprised you got it running at all. Looks like there's not a lot of people trying to play Guild Wars 2 in Linux with a laptop. Now you are at the mercy of Intel Linux drivers and Wine developers. There is a chance GW2 may never run properly in Linux

So what is different then? It was running fine 2 months ago. I know that's saying a lot but what has changed it that far. Should I try a full reinstall or non-dualboot?

Not sure... I really don't think dual-booting will affect Linux. As long as Mint is running fine and you have applied updates and drivers correctly, it should be running great. You are using the identical Mint 16 64-bit that you used before dual-booting right? Are you positive that you are using the same Wine version for GW2 as you did before? Ubuntu will automatically install Intel's proprietary drivers and Mint is based on Ubuntu, but I wonder if it installed a different Intel driver than before.... Not really sure how to check...

Everything is the same except for updates from Mint so I'm assuming the updates from them has messed it up.

maybe, but I doubt it. How many times have you completely re-installed Guild Wars 2?

I'm at a loss as well. Maybe you should try Ubuntu 14.04 LTS? Or wait for Mint 17 coming next month. If anything you could try Mint 16 32-bit I'll take a look at your debug again and see if any other ideas come to mind.

Here is another post on the forum with the exact same laptop but using Ubuntu. Sadly, they are having problems as well GW2Wait, I just realized it was you!
So you had problems with Ubuntu as well... dang
Looks like you had it working with this:
Ohh i'm sorry i thought it was obvious from the header. My computer can run GW2 with the patch 1.5.12 installed and up on wine with the arugment -dx9single. Once I go up any patches I run into this problem where I can't open without it freezing? But when the game patches you can't play anymore...
You also posted that a virtual drive setting in Wine allowed GW2 to run:
I GOT IT! Finally have figured it all out. I must go into Configure Wine --> Graphics and then check Emulate a Virtual Desktop. And it runs just as if it was on Windows for me!
Did you try both of these with Mint 16?

I also found some tips on the WineHQ site: Guild Wars 2
What does not Installer crashes frequently, but the workaround is to keep loading it or copy Gw2.dat from another computer that already has the game installed. Swapping armor of different model types or changing dyes causes graphical errors until a map change. Preview window suffers from the same glitch for any items added after the first (preview window loads the first armor item correctly). These glitches do not apply to weapons or backpieces. This game just isn't happy running in Linux. There are a lot of bugs. There is a post for horizontal lines, but they claim that it doesn't happen everywhere. Not to mention performance is horrible. I can tell you are determined to run Guild Wars 2 in Linux, it may require purchasing a new computer and/or waiting for Wine updates. It really doesn't like running on multi-core processors and almost all of them are multi-core. Otherwise, for now... keep dual-booting to play it in Windows.
