Hello, I just wanted to start off by saying you guys are doing a great job, and I've been really impressed with POM. That being said, I purchased Mount and Blade: Warband quite a while ago, and it ran beautifully. No crashes, no lag, no nothing. As if I were playing it on windows itself. A few months pass and school and work get crazy, so I leave it alone. When I return (after updating POM and XQuartz), I attempt to run Mount and Blade. It would get to the steam verification and then crash. I figured that the Mount and Blade version itself was outdated. So first I attempted to install another without completely overwriting the original virtual drive. A box popped up and informed me that wine was being updated. "Ah," said I, "That must have been the problem!" Afterward, it again got to the steam verification, and it would say "updating steam", complete the download, then a box would pop up and say "extracting package" then "installing update" then "cleaning up", and disappear. Very shortly afterward (maybe a second), the same box would appear, and go through the same routine, and then disappear, only to be replaced by another of the same box going through the same routine, and so on and so forth, maybe 15 to 20 times. When it stops, I click on the Mount and Blade: Warband shortcut to play, and it informs me that "no handler is found for the image type". I say okay, then click "play." Immediately a crash box appears, along with that pesky steam box going through the routine a couple dozen more times. When that finishes, I log into steam, only to have it crash again. When I click "play" again, the box reappears.
