Does install on the same virtual drive. This is part of the beauty of PlayOnLinux. Programs should be in separate virtual drives (aka wineprefix), as dependencies for one program could break other programs that rely on them. The implementation of software frameworks, runtimes, and how they are tracked in the registry is not the same as in windows, and this is part of why you want to use different virtual drives.

There is really no reason to install them on the virtual drive. Why exactly do you want to do this?

This is not "natural" for PlayOnLinux. If you read the documentation, this is abundantly clear. For POL, ideally, programs should be installed in separate virtual drives, and therefor can use different versions of Wine, in case one version is needed for one program, and another is needed for a different program; you cannot run two different versions of Wine in the same virtual drive/wineprefix.

If you REALLY want to do it, do this:

PlayOnLinux -> Configure -> select the Virtual Drive you want to use -> click the Miscellaneous tab -> click "Run a .exe from this virtual drive"

This will allow you to pick the .exe you want to run, and will install it in the context of that virtual drive.

Again, this is not recommend, nor supported. Is there really a specific reason you are doing this? What is it you want to accomplish?

There are many people who play online games via another piece of software. I like to play Warcraft via ENT Gaming. To do this I must run a web browser and connect to ENT. When I open Warcraft I can play via my Local Area Network.

I'm very new to all of this, but I may have a need to run 2 applications in the same virtual drive. I will be running Reaper DAW. However, to use multiple inputs in Reaper I need to also be able to configure/run ASIO4ALL. In Windows, one runs both applications. ASIO has an offline tool for configuration. Reaper calls this exe from within to configure the recording I/O

Other that using the same instance/drive of Wine, is there another way for 2 windows programs to interact with each other?

Yes, you can go to PlayOnLinux configure and click the Miscellaneous Tab.

click "Run a .exe in this virtual drive"

But I recommend you run both applications that are installed in the same virtual drive.
