Hello,

I just installed StarCraft 2, using the PoL install script. Everything seems to have gone smoothly. When I launched the game, everything was OK: graphics, music... except the font. Texts are unreadable and I cannot play the game.

Here is a screen capture:

Any idea how I can fix this, or at least find out the source of the issue?

PoL Version: 4.2.1
Distribution: Ubuntu 13.04 Raring (x86)
Video Driver: Gallium 0.4
Video card: AMD Radeon HD 4870

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you tried proprietary drivers?

Hi petch,

No, I haven't tried them. I found another way to fix this issue: I increased the Video Memory Size, from the provided default (i.e., 256) to a much larger value (e.g., 1024). Now the fonts are correctly rendered.

What's your videocard onboard memory amount?
