League of legends work in Ubuntu 13.04 64bits but need a client installation that comes used in windows using this metod:
1) Install LOL using Playonlinux updated(the version used for wine is 1.7) 2) Now update the the game and DONT CHANGE REGION 3) Once completed, now open the folder where you installed the client (/home/youruser/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/LeagueOfLegends/drive_c/ regurlaly) and copy the content overwrite the content in the same folder. 4) Now close nautilus or terminal and reboot the computer.(yes the computer) 5) Start playonlinux and Legue of legends as you have always done (double click in the icon) and the game start, notice that now YOU CAN CHANGE THE REGION INCLUDING NORTH AMERICA. 6) Good game
Are two ways to get the client updated on completely legal.
1) Running, install and update the client LOL officer made a virtualized installation on virtualbox, and copy the folder C :/ Riot Games to use this metod.
2) Attend a cyber center, with good connection, or with a friend, that allows you to copy the installation having a memory LOL, uses about 5 GB of space.with a client updated of LOL.
The major problem you to observe, is that the graphics have improved, but the store is FULL DEFORMED, buy some work will cost object as observed in a size larger frankly preventing properly use the store.
However it is a breakthrough customer to use the latinoamricano in PlayOnLinux, hopefully these observations and method serve something, Greetings

petch, i've had intermittent success with the RP shop as recent as yesterday. Something about the calling of IE by use of a weblink in game, Then crashing the client, Closing (by means of the close button for the LoL application inside of PoL) and reopening and going straight into the store seemed to work for me
I would suspect something to do with the web traffic is not being handled properly but i'm not a developer so can't give a huge amount of insight
if theres any data i can provide to help resolve this issue please let me know
