When using Internet Explorer 6 in PlayOnLinux 4.2.1 in Ubuntu 12.04, and I navagate to a page, I get the following error from IE:
Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.

Indeed, the page does not display correctly.

I read in a forum that the solution to this is to lower the security settings slider in IE under Tools -> Internet Options -> Security. I also edited the registry in PlayOnLinux to set 1200 to 0 in the following places:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ CurrentVersion \\ Internet Settings \\ Zones \\ 0

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ CurrentVersion \\ Internet Settings \\ Zones \\ 0

Both of these were already set to 0, so this did not help.

Is there any way to allow ActiveX controls to work with IE6 in PlayOnLiux 4.2.1?

Is there a specific reason you are using IE6 instead of IE8?
I would stay away from IE6 because its sooooo outdated that nothing will work on it.
IE8 is better but still outdated and a security risk.

Ah I see. Did you know that you can install Firefox in the virtual drive?
Maybe you could print from it?

Our vaccine registry requires internet explorer with ActiveX. IE 6, 7, 8, or 9 (but not 10).
