I dont know. You are running the 32-bit version of GTA, right? This is not a bootleg version, is it? If its set up correctly, then you may not have multi-architecture support on your machine. It seems as though your computer will not run the 32 bit code for some reason.

That's weird. And not bootleg, downloading it off Steam. I don't know why it would be only this drive that is a problem if it's the 32bit. My other 32bit drives run perfectly.

I definitely have multiarch support.

Oh well, I think I'm going to bench it and go back to fiddling with Cube World until that runs. Though I haven't seen anything about it working with wine yet :P

Wow. I cannot figure out whey its not working, then. lol. The only other thing I can think of is trying other version of wine and see if you can find another version that works better. Everything seems to be up to par on your system, so I am at a loss.

I've tried a few other versions that worked on the Wine AppDB for both the Steam and retail version, but anything other than 1.3.23 so far has given me the no sound card error.

Any luck with this? I have the same problem. I installed GTA4 with the install-script using wine 1.7.8 and now when I try to start the game, I get the no sound card message.

Under winecfg Audio it says "none".

All my other games under playonlinux say "winealsa.drv" there.

Any Ideas?
