yeah, you have a decent computer that is about 5 years old. There is still room to upgrade, but its cheaper to upgrade than buy a whole brand new one.

You've inspired me to try Battlefield 2 again on my Mint 14 with the newer versions of Wine and PlayOnLinux.
Then I can update my tutorial.
