Got To the Moon working using POL. The resolution is set to 640x480 permanently and by default. It's a part of the 16-bit game style.

Interesting game, it's got a deep emotional story.

cool, I've heard its an emotional roller-coaster.
That is a rarity with video games.

PlayOnLinux is still relevant even after Proton was introduced under Steam Play. PlayOnLinux make easy to run several Windows software entities under one wineprefix or have them separated in wineprefix per program, making also not needed software removal simple and fast with two clicks. In short - PlayOnLinux give much more freedom. Non-Steam software configuring to launch under Proton is still huge pain in the ass. Steam Client is not designed for that and so user must do serious work in console to put their non-Steam software piece to start under Proton.

Thank you for confirming how SteamPlay has progressed.  I agree that PlayOnLinux has made it fairly simple to install just about any non-listed game.  I do a LOT of manual installations and have even figure out how to include DXVK in my steps for DirectX 10/11 games.  Its painless for me, but I know most gamers just want as few clicks/options as possible.  But I don't mind setting up the prefix myself and doing the Wine configuration and PlayOnLinux configure.  It helps me to set up what the game requires to run.  You only have to do it once, then the game should run fine.

I noticed that Packages/Components have finally added vcrun2015

I've tried Proton with a few games and it does work really well, but only with Steam games.  I still use PlayOnLinux for my GOG, itch.io, retail and other downloaded games.
