Hi Guys

Can someone please help me? I have bought Dead Rising 2 on Steam, installed using the POL script and chosen steam version, all installed fine but when I try to run the game the Games For Windows Live screen comes up, says it is going to connect, fails and then the game won't start. Can anyone help please? I have this problem with quite a few other games too.

I am running POL 4.2 on Linux Mint 14 Xfce.

If Im not mistaken, GFW doesnt work correctly through Wine. I havent used anything that uses GFW in a while, though. Let me check something real quick.

Also, POL 4.2.1 is out. Upgrading should be in your near future, as well. :)

It looks like you're right, I've tried a few GFW titles now and none of them work. Does anyone have any idea how to get around this?

There is a GFW script in:

PlayOnLinux -> Configure -> Install Components

Try to install GFW from that list into your virtual drive, and then try to install it again. Maybe that will help. :)
