I just upgraded my mac to their newest version (Mountain Lion) and I am not sure whether that makes a big difference or not BUT whenever I try to install Diablo 2 I can't get to the agreement page because a window pops up saying "we have encountered a serious problem with installer.exe and need to close" or something along those lines. I am not tech savvy enough to know how to fix this or what this means in terms of either my computer or certain programs. In the past I have tried other possible ways to play D2 on my mac (VMware, bootcamp etc.) but I ran into some issues or just got lazy and gave up. Any ideas on things I can do to get my Diablo off its feet and into my playing hands? Also on a side note I have a legal copy and key of the game from the blizzard website.

Try to fully reinstall PlayOnMac or update X11 to the newest version. I'm using Mountain Lion as well and Diablo II works just fine with and expansion and the latest patch as well.

By X11 I meant XQuartz. The latest version is 2.7.4. Here. Edited by Lockjaw
