I'm trying to use Xpadder with playonlinux. The problem is I can't run the program without installing it first, and when I use the "install" button Xpadder says
"Information Welcome! This program is only one file and does not need installing. You are running it right now! To keep running from the current location click "Start". To move the program to another location first click "Exit"."
I also get, "Error DirectInput Error Controller Generic X-Box pad Command GetProperty For assistance, please visit xpadder.com"
But I assume this doesn't have anything to do with the problem because I can configure the controller and save the profile normally.
Then Xpadder runs normally, I configure buttons normally, save configuration. I set the program to close instead of minimize on exit, so that the installer can complete.
Then when I try to create shortcut, it says "Binary not found! :Xpadder 5.7.exe Have you installed the program to the default location?"
There is no default location! I even tried extracting it to it's own virtual drive before "installing" it, in the program files directory. No dice.
Please help. I don't want to have to "istall" it every time I want to use it. I just want to run it without installing. How do I do that?
