Hi,
I'm new here, first post! I'm pretty new to Linux as well, running Zorin OS6 (and some Slacko Puppy). I used playonlinux to install photoshop 5.5 into ZOS6---it works great! Thanks for this great software! Everything is running fine, all the tools and filters---except I can't seem to figure how to open Photoshop by clicking on a .psd. I added .psd to the file associations dialog box. I also had GIMP forget the .psd association. Now I can open files through the file>open column in photoshop, or I can drag the graphic into the open program--no problem, but when I click on any .psd nothing happens.
Also in the same vein, how do you get POL to show up in the context menu when you right click? What do I need to enter into the terminal? POL does not show up in "open with"---I'd sure like to know how to add it to the "open with" list. Thanks very much in advance for any and all help. I'm really pleased to get Photoshop running (so well) in Linux. 'Night

Hi,
At desktop level associate playonlinux with the extension, then in
Settings > File associations
Tell PlayOnLinux how to dispatch the request.

As far as I know the only documentation about this is a news:

Hi, I'm not sure how to associate the file 'at the desktop level'. If I right click>properties on a .psd, photoshop is not a choice for 'opens with' nor can I browse for it. Is there a way to get playonlinux to show up in the right click menu? I did add .psd to the settings>file associations menu. Thanks for your reply!

Ok, I figured it out. Thanks for your help! I used Ubuntu Tweak to get rid of the old .psd file associations resetting gimp over to POL
then used POL>settings>file associations to create new ones, associating .psd's to PS 5.5. Now it works!
Has anyone tried Photoshop 7 (or Illustrator 9) on Linux?? Have a great night! Thanks again.

Best,
Blue
